Research Projects

The research projects currently undertaken by Pars (Arian Zamin) Geology Research Center can be classified under 4 different categories as below:

1-Completed Projects

-          an overview on the natural resources of Iran and their place in the world, which some chapters published as a book,

-          Iranian Geologic Atlas in Scale of 1:500.000,

-          Preparing a list of all (4500) deposits and indications of Iran with their complete metallogeny properties,

-          Identify metallogenic provinces of Cu, Fe, Au, … in Iran,

-          Introducing interesting geologic scenes that could be proposed as geoparks in Iran,

-          Geology of young volcanoes of Iran,

-          Complete database of Iranian Mines and Mineral data,

-          Database of gem and gemology in Iran,

-          complete data about Cu, Fe, Au and Al deposits in Iran,

-          project of collecting geologic and mineral data of Afghanistan,

-          Project of evaluation porphyry copper resources in Arasbaran Region.

2. Undergoing projects

-          Project of making database for mines and minerals of central Asia countries,

-          Introduction of interesting and unique geologic phenomena in Iran to develop geoparks and geotourism,

-          Planning project for some mineral matters with special view on their future (such as: bentonite, barite, talk …),

3. Proposed projects

-          Planning project for organizations of mines and industries of provinces of Iran according to their natural and mineral resources,

-          Identify provinces, also exploration of porphyry copper resources throughout the country,

-          Project of special mining – industry sets according to common and regional characteristics,

-          Exploration project for Harat – Chakhcharan belt in western Afghanistan,

4. Described proposal prepared for various economically viable projects and building industrial units

Pars (Arian Zamin) Geology Research Center studied parts of the country that possess unused vast plains or include mineral resources with common properties which are capable of use in special industries or proper regions to build industrial units. So, the center endeavors to study required resources (mine and energy potentials, also superficial, ground and fossil waters) to execute projects in industry and agriculture. This way, valuable results gained. Also, the center recognizes and prepares certificates for many interesting sites for tourism and geotourism.

Pars (Arian Zamin) Geology Research Center is ready to cooperate (with governmental, private and real individual organizations and institutes) and to invest (in completion inchoate projects) and also to perform (defined projects) and to publish or to devolute (completed projects).

Study projects of Pars (Arian Zamin) Geology Research Center are to recognize Iranian Natural Resources. These projects evaluated according to economic factors, so they have acceptable economic justification.
